or a whole shelf of good books. That's how my Jakers prefers to roll.

In His Father's Arms
Recently, we experienced something that no parents want to experience...time spent in the hospital with a sick child. We were there with our sweet Isaac for 5 days. Of course, we were scared and our hearts broke for his discomfort. Despite those emotions we were reminded of God's goodness and faithfulness and of the peace that only he can give. It's funny how God uses the low moments in life to help us remember these truths of His character. We were humbled by the prayers for our little guy, many being prayed by complete strangers! It was a true comfort knowing that Isaac was in his Father's arms and that we could rest there as well.
Happy to be going home!

Fun "in" the Snow!
Tomorrow will be our third snow day! Today was sunny and in the 40's...not sure why school is called off again. I'm not complaining, though. It's hard being cooped up in the house with a 4, 2 and 4 week old, but I still love being home with them.
Last night daddy put a bucket of snow in the freezer. Today, the boys played "in" the snow. Joshua called it "Snow Colored Soup." Now we have big bowls of brown snow in our freezers. More fun "in" the snow tomorrow, I guess.

Faces of Isaac
We love our little Isaac! It's hard to believe he is already 2 1/2 weeks old. When he was born he was 9.1 lbs and 21 inches; he was 8.6 lbs. when we left the hospital. He had his 2 week check-up on Monday and he was 9.11 lbs! He is eating well you could say! And, he is strong...he has rolled from his belly to his back several times now and can almost roll from his back to his belly. It's going to be so much fun watching him grow.
Chillin' on the bili light.
Check out the glow!
